A Hug, A Farewell, & A New Beginning

This special tree stands outside Little Red Riding Hood's Grandmother's house and was the original tree and house illustrated in the story, Little Red Riding Hood. This tree was struck by lightning and the owners of the property created something very special with the trunk of this tree. They saved the trunk of the tree because everyone who visited was so fond of this special old tree. Perhaps you might like to see what they have done and created.
The house is now a restaurant called Pickety Place and is located in Mason, NH. They have monthly meal choices and a few seating times per day. They also have a bookshop and a gift shop on the property. As well as many beautiful gardens.
Patricia is shown hugging this wonderful tree after visiting the restaurant with her daughter Tatyana and friends Gayle and Gabby. It is definitely worth a visit to see what has become of this famous tree and to experience where the illustrations of Little Red Riding Hood stemmed from.
