One of my favorite things to do in any seasons is to explore the woods. My recent hike was climbing Mount Pemigewasset (2,523) in Franconia Notch with my friend and hiking buddy Jeanette. We went up the Pemigewasset Trail to the summit of Indian Head. We had lunch up on the rock ledge and took pictures of the spectacular views looking out onto Mount Lafayette, Mount Liberty and Little Haystack Mt.

We decided to take the Indian Head Trail down so that we could get a view of the Indian Head because we just had lunch sitting on his forehead. When we got to the bottom of the trail we had to walk a mile up hill to get

to the Flume parking lot. In total, we hiked 5 miles that day and took some amazing pictures. I feel so blessed living in such a beautiful area.

We saw a snake slither by and heard the Chickadees song. We also saw Trillium and Jack-in the-Pulpit flowers. The leaves are beginning to unravel and it is harder to see through the forest. Only a few bugs out not to bad. I really enjoyed this hike!
